Brixington Blues

When Brixington Blues were fist formed they fielded just three league teams, Under 11's,13's and 15's. The expansion of the Club over the past fifteen years has been phenomenal to the extent that this season the Club will be fielding eight league teams and six teams in SSG's.

Since the 1994/95 season the club has won 9 League Championships and 32 Cup competitions. Much of this success has been due to the decision taken in 1994 to expand the club to include separate sections for Under 8’s, 9’s and 10’s. This has made it possible for young players to develop with careful coaching before joining an Under 11 league. The Club has also encouraged managers to achieve FA coaching qualifications and there is no doubt that this is paying dividends with the success of the younger teams in several small-sided competitions this summer.

The season 2001/02 saw for the first time in the Clubs history field an Under 17 team, with Richard Taylor  at the helm and ex Exeter City Coach Kevin Hack coaching the side. The team competed in the Devon & Exeter Youth League. A new experience for all.

Players who are interested in joining the club should contact the relevant age group manager as listed in the management page or contact Chairman Ian Hitchcock.  All ages are, as at the 31 August 2000.
