Exmouth Town Jets 0-2 Jaguars

The Jaguars battling against a strong wind in the first half knew it was going to be hard pushing forward.  Defenders Tinsley and Evans working hard to limit Exmouths attack to long range efforts by defenders, one of which clipped the crossbar.  Jason Pope making his debut, always looked strong and dangerous up front, after one move involving Dye, Denny and Jones he fired home to open the scoring.

Playing with the wind after the break, in a half which seemed to go on forever, more chances were created.  The second goal came after Toomey eased the ball from a Town defender sending in a cross for Pope to score the final goal of the game.

Exmouth Town Colts 0-4 Jaguars

Pushing forward looking for the opening goal the Jaguars kept the Colts under pressure right from the start, but could only manage to find the net through Pope in the first half. Jones, Dye and Toomey added 3 more with goalie Cliffard-Harding a lone figure in the Brixington half.  Toomey then went in goal allowing Cliffard-Harding to move forward to join the action upfront at least allowing him to have a touch on the ball.

Jaguars 8-0 Twyford Ajaccio

This being the first game of the season the Jaguars took a while to adjust but goals from Toomey, Jones and Chapman before half time settled them down.  After the break and with more confidence the boys played some fine football.  Peter Wright making a fine debut (3), Denny and Tinsley finished off the scoring.

Jaguars 2-1 Twyford Madrid

Twyford Madrid proved more of an opposition to the Jaguars. Thomas Evans and Tinsley defending against a strong Madrid attack held their own.  Jason Dye along with Denny and Jones gave Toomey the room to fire in a cross for Wright to score the opening goal.  Further chances fell to Chapman and a 20 yard volley by  Denny was superbly pushed onto the bar by the opposition keeper.  Jaguars keeper Corey Cliffard-Harding, having a great game, making some fine saves.  Pressure mounting on the Madrid goal a second goal always looked likely and it duly came from Toomey.  Time running out the Madrid attack managed to breach the defence and make it 2-1.  This was followed by a fantastic save and block by Cliffard-Harding to give the Jaguars the second win of the day.
