2-0 Topsham Town
A
lovely fresh, sunny winters morning and the location was Topsham town,
Brixington arrived full off confidence and looked very keen for a good match.
The start off the match was promising as everyone was passing and working very
well as a team, Brixingtons first chance came from a great strike from Joel
Rendall which Topsham towns goalie saved, soon after Mike white has a strike and
the goalie saves that too. Josh Whiller, Arnold Godbeer and Alex Syzpillo in
defence make it almost impossible for Topsham to get through, and when they do
make it past Callum mcphee in goal makes a great save catching the ball. As the
match continues Brixington gain most off the prossesion and it pays off as after
a couple off Brixington shots on goal, Ollie Hughes-Hollomby kicks the ball into
the net given Brixington a goal and the lead 1-0. Topsham town start on the
attack but Brixington take it in their stride and keep them a bay and the first
half ends with Brixington in the lead-0.
The second half starts and a great battle starts to unfold on the pitch as
Topsham’s denfence have to work extra hard, as the ball doesnt leave their
half for the first 15minutes. David Cockanye, Mike White and Callum Mcclure have
three great strikes on goal but Topshams goalie makes light work of them and
there saved. Due to a bit off frustration in the last 10 minutes Brixington were
awarded two free kicks one off which Arnold Godbeer took, it went over the top
off the cross bar and and the second David Cockanye took and it flew onto the
right hand corner off the goal, widening Brixingtons lead to 2-0in
the closing minutes. Although two goals up Brixington continued to apply the
pressure into the dying minutes making the end result 2-0 to Brixington.

Blues
1-0 West Hill
A very damp, grey, wet morning in Rockbeare, but everyone was looking forward to the match as last weeks was cancelled due to the bad weather.
Brixingtons start
was strong and for the first five minutes took control, but West hill soon meant
business. Brixingtons passing was good and everyone was getting good prossesion
off the ball, West hills defence had to work hard to stop Brixington moving up
the pitch. Brixington got their break when the midfield slotted the ball to
Arnold Godbeer,his run culminating with a one on one with the keeper
who could only partially block his side step and shot, it goes in and
Brixington go one up 1-0. West hill fight back, Josh whiller and Alex
szypillo in defence do a great job stopping West hill from getting forward.
The rest off the first half see's some great shots on goal from Joel Rendall and Ollie
Hughes-Hollomby which West Hill save. Brixington lead 1-0 at the end off
the first half.
The second half was very tense as West hill were trying to get a goal back and
Brixington were trying to keep there lead. Everyone worked hard to keep
possession from falling to West hill and with some more great attempts from Mike
White and Joel Rendall it looked like Brixington could strengthen there lead but
West hills goalie did a great job saving the shots. At the end off the second
half it was a 1-0 win to Brixington.

Blues 3-3 Phoenix
This was a very cold winter morning but everyone was ready for a good hard
battle, Both teams started strong with both getting equal prosession.Joel
rendall had the first opportunity for Brixington with a great run on
goal but the Phoenix won the ball.
Then Joel Rendall took a brilliant corner which found Arnold Godbeer who plants a volley firmly into the top left hand corner off the goal. 1-0 to Brixington. Phoenix took possession after but found it very had to get past Brixingtons defence, Joel Rendall takes a corner but Phoenix goal keeper makes a good save. Brixington are working hard and are very strong as Harry trick and Josh Whiller make some great tackles to win the ball but the Phoenix’s defence make it hard for them to get the ball to there team.
The second part off this half saw some great shots on goal from Harry trick and
Arnold godbeer but they were well saved by the Phoenix goal keeper, and at half
time the score was 1-0 to Brixington.
The second half starts with everyone wanting the ball and the Phoenix seem to
gain the upper hand to start with, Gaining the most prosession, But Brixington
dont stop fighting and Joel rendall takes a throw in which goes to
Mike white, Mike white takes a shot on target but it finds Arnold godbeer
who lands a cracking header straight into the back off the net.2-0 to
Brixington. Jonathan Price on and Harry Trick off, Straight away Phoenix up
their game and come back fighting they win the ball and make a run, shoot, and
it flies into the goal 2-1. As soon as the Phoenix score there first goal
they score two more putting them in the lead 3-2 its quite unreal but watching
you can see the battle unfolding. Brixington really start fighting back and
everyone in the team pull together with some great passing and team work to get
the ball where they want it for a shot. In the dieing minutes Brixington look
for every opportunity for that goal to give them a well deserved draw and it
comes from some good ground work. Arnold Godbeer finds the ball
at his feet and shoots, it goes in to give Brixington the draw and Arnold
Godbeer a hat trick.

5-1 Alphington
Cup match 1st round
The start
off this match was a little slow from the off, but as the minutes went by both
teams grow in strength and getting stronger, Brixingtons defence had to work
hard and Alex Syzipillo, Josh Whiller and Arnold Godbeer proved their worth by
winning the ball back from Alphington a number off times to give Brixington some
great chances.The first near goal came with the help off Harry trick who
after a great run passed the ball to Joel Rendall who take a strike but it goes
just wide, not long after Joel makes a run goes around two Alphington players
and passes to David Cockanye who shots and scores1-0 to Brixington. Given
them the lead at the end off the first half.
The second half starts and its packed with action from the off, with
opportunities for both teams. Arnold
Godbeer wins the ball and clears it to Joel Rendall, then Joel Rendall passes to
Harry Trick, he makes a great run and strikes the ball, it flys into the
back off the top left corner, a great goal 2-0. Not long after Alphington get a
goal back after there player makes a great strike and it fly’s over the
goalies head and into the back off the net.2-1 Alphington win the ball again
take a shot but Brixingtons goalie Callum Mcphee makes a great save, by driving
on top off the ball. William Finn takes possession off the ball and passes to
Mike White, Mike White passes to David Cockanye who shots on target and scores
3-1. Brixington are definitely on a roll as, as soon as David Cockanye scores
the third goal he pockets another given him a hattrick and putting Brixington
firmly in the lead 4-1. Alphington come back fighting but again Brixingtons
defence stop them in there tracks, a great bit off team work in the matches
dieing mintues between William Finn and Arnold Godbeer give David COCKANYE
another shot and it goes in given Brixington a great win. 5-1

Blues 5-0 Exmouth Town
The morning was a lovely fresh winters one, and
Rockbeare was the location for this local derby, and the game started with both
teams very strong. Both teams were passing well and working well together,
Brixington had the first chance for a goal but the Exmouth town goal keeper
saved the ball, straight away Brixington went for another go as David Cockanye
passed to Joel Rendall who booted it in and scored 1-0 to Brixington. Exmouth
came back fighting but Brixingtons three defenders worked brilliantly and stoped
them in there tracks. Brixington had a near go after Arnold Godbeer passes to
David Cockanye but the Exmouth towns goal keeper made a great save, Exmouth town
have a good chance to even the score stopped by Brixington defences. Then Joel
Rendall returns the earlier pass made by David Cockanye by given him a
great pass allowing David Cockanye the chance to score making Brixington 2 goals
up. A brilliant team effort from Brixingtons lads give Brixington a third
goal within minutes off the second, which Mike White scores.
Joel Rendall made some great runs in this half off the match Exmouth town just
couldnt catch him. The first half finishes with Brixington in the lead 3-0.
The second half starts very fast and furious, Both teams want the ball
and a real battle is unfolding as Exmouth town are really wanting to get some
goals back, but Brixingtons defence in the form off Josh Whiller, Arnold
Godbeer and Harry Trick are just making it impossible for them to brake
through. A couple off great chances from Mike White and William Finn nearly gave
Brixington an added boast but Exmouth towns goalie saves them. A great pass from
Josh Whiller to Mike White, allows Mike White to shoot a long ball to Joel
Rendall who boots it in to the back off the net 4-0 to Brixington, Harry Trick
off, Alex Syzpillo on. Brixington are on top form today and use every
chance they get well to their advantage, Callum Mcclure being in the right
place at the right time scores a great goal making Brixingtons final score 5-0
Agreat game played by all well done.

1-1 St Martins
A damp, miserable Saturday morning for this match, both teams ready and rearing
to go. The game starts with both teams very strong and getting equal possession
off the ball, Brixington score the first goal with a great long ball from Arnold
Godbeer to set Joel Rendall up for a powerful shot which goes into the back off
the net.1-0 to Brixington at half time.
The second half was as well played as the first with both teams fighting for the
ball, both teams defence worked there socks off. St Martins manage to score an
equalizer in the last 10 minutes and that makes the game really hot up as its
anyone’s game again and everyone works hard to try and score a winning
goal. But the game ends with a draw.1-1. Everyone worked really hard all
the way through this match and should give them selves a pat on the back!

Blues 3-2 Tedburn St Mary
A very fresh morning for this home match for Brixington blues and everyone is
rearing too go, Both teams were hoping for a win as they haven’t been too
lucky so far.
You could see both teams wanted the three points available from a win today,
They all start strong with lots off passing and moving the ball up and down the
pitch.
Brixington seem a little stronger off the two and have the first chance off a
goal with Mike White, Ollie Hughes-Hollomby and William Finn working together to
have a couple off good strikes on goal but Tedburns goalie saves any chances.
Then Mike white finds an opening to pass to David Cockanye who shoots the ball
straight into the bottom right corner opening the scoring 1-0.
A great pass from Callum Mcclure finds Mike white who makes a great strike but
its not in, and then Alex Szypillo passes to David Cockanye he shoots but it
hits the post, Joel Rendall and Ollie Hollomby also have some chances but the
ball just cant find the back off the net. Josh whiller and Alex Szypillo in
defence have to work hard but work well to stop some Tedburn chances. Ollie
Hughes- Hollomby off and Arnold Godbeer on. David Cockanye gets his second
goal off the match giving Brixington the lead, but its short lived as Tedburn
fight back to claim two goals in a row making the score at half time 2-2.
The second half starts with everyone trying to get the goal that could give
there team the win, With some opportunities from Arnold Godbeer, Joel
Rendall and Ollie Hughes-Hollomby Brixington are fighting hard, Tedburns
defence are working overtime not letting Brixington through till an unlucky free
kick taken by Joel Rendall puts Brixington ahead 3-2. Brixington pick up
the pace and Tedburns have to put everything into there defence to stop
them scoring again. The match ends with a win for Brixington Blues.3-2

Blues 1-1 Crediton Saints
An excellent game
played by all, Both teams were very well matched, the first half saw both sides equally
getting possession off the ball, Brixington had some great shots on target but
the Creditons keeper saved each one. Josh Whiller and Alex Syzpillo in
defence made a nearly unstoppable duo. All the lads were passing and working
hard to gain possession but the game was at dead lock and at half time the score
was 0-0.
The second half started with everyone’s hungry for the ball, Mike White,
Ollie Hughes-Hollomby and William Finn were all taking runs with the ball and
trying to get down to the goal or to Arnold Godbeer and Jonathan Price up front
but Creditons defence is working hard to stop any chances. It pays off as
Crediton score the first goal off the game 1-0, Brixington don’t lose
there heads and come back fighting as Joel Rendall and Josh Whiller both have
great chances stopped by Creditons defence, Brixington seem to be on a roll
as William Finn down the right wing keeps winning the ball and after
and few great attempts it pays of as the ball is passed to Arnold Godbeer
who makes a break and passes to Joel Rendall he shoots on goal and its in,1-1.
The last part off the match is very tense as its still anyone’s game and
everyone is trying to get the winning goal, Crediton take a run in the last
few minutes but Callum Mcphee in goal dives on the ball to save it.the match
ends with a 1-1 draw.

Blues 4-1 Topsham Town
A home match for the Brixington blues team today, the weather was lovely and sunny, just prefect for a game off footie, Brixington were really hoping for a win today as the session had begun with a draw and a lose. The game started very fast and furious, Topsham seemed to be the better team and were on the ball straight away. The passing and tackling from both team was first rate, Josh Whiller had too defend hard too keep the ball away from Brixington goal, Arnold Godbeer starts the team on a good footing with a great run, but Topsham are there and stop him. Topsham efforts are paid off when they score there first goal,1-0, Everyone’s running lots and using the pitch too its full potential its great to watch. Harry Trick passes to Dave Cockanye who takes a run but Topsham kick the ball away, Arnold Godbeer wins a tackle and sets Dave Cockanye up with a great goal which lands straight into the bottom left hand corner.1-1. Topsham seem to be slowing down a little now and Brixington are taking full advantage with some more great runs from Arnold Godbeer and David Cockanye the game is really hotting up. Joel Rendall comes up with a great strike but its goes just wide, then Arnold Godbeer kicks the ball into the air it comes back down and Jonathan Price volleys it into the back off the net.2-1 to Brixington. Topshams goal keeper works very hard and saves some cracking near goals and at the end of the first half its 2-1.
Jonathan Price off and Callum Mcclure on for the second half, great start
straight away as Ollie Hughes Hollomby and Arnold Godbeer have a couple off
strikes and headers showing Brixington mean business. Brixington seem to be on
fire this half and the team are working brilliantly together, Joel Rendall has a
good run and strikes, Topshams goalie saves it again. Joel Rendall takes a
corner which Topsham win they make a run for it but Mike White stops them and
control is back to Brixington. Arnold Godbeer makes a break and shoots on goal
it bounces off the goalie and Ollie Hughes-Hollomby headers the ball into the
net 3-1 to Brixington. David Cockanye, Arnold Godbeer and Ollie Hughes-Hollomby
work well together and make lots off chances for each other but Topshams defence
and goalie work really hard and stop the balls from flying in. Callum Mcphee in
goal for Brixington has had a rather quite second half as has Josh Whiller
in defence, Harry Trick off and Jonathan Price on, Jonathan Price gets stuck in
straight away and wins the ball passes to Arnold Godbeer, who passes to David
Cockanye, David Cockanye takes a shot and scores the fourth goal making it
impossible for Topsham to come back. The game finishes with a win for Brixington
4-1.

Blues 2-2 West Hill Wasps
The weather was lovely and everyone looked full off
readiness for a good game, you could see how keen they were as they all warmed
up.
Straight away Brixington looked strong with Micheal White and Jonathan Price
taking shoots on goal neither go in but a great start. The teams passing is
great and Brixngton look very in control, but West Hill are not to be
forgotten as there defence are very strong. Josh Whiller and Micheal White do
some great passing and Micheal gets a brilliant header and scores the first goal
for Brixington.1-0. The game doesn’t get far when Brixington take a throw in
and West Hill win the ball they take there chance and score 1-1.Both teams are
level pegging now and want control of the ball, Alex Syzpillo and Josh Whiller
work very well together passing and defending the ball. David Cockanye wins
the ball and takes a powerful shot, but West Hills goalie saves, the ball
bounces back into play and Ollie Hughes-Hollomby taps it in and scores his first
goal for brixington.2-1 Brixington take control and Jonathan Price gets
possession and passes to Joel Rendall who headers the ball on goal but it just
fall shy off the net. West Hill take an opportunity to score but Callum Mcphee
in goal saves it by diving on the ball. Ollie Hughes-Hollomby off for a rest,
William Finn on, West Hill throw in, Callum Mcclure win and headers it away,
Joel Rendall goes for a strike, the ball goes over the goal, Micheal White off
for a rest, Harry Trick on. West Hill are gunning to get the score level and
take a corner which looks well on goal but Callum Mcphee in goal saves, again West
hill are on goal but Alex Syzpillo saves it and kicks the ball away. With the
first half nearly over Brixington get another chance with some great passing
from David Cockanye, Joel Rendall and William Finn, it just misses. At the
end off the first half Brixington lead 2-1.
The second half starts with Arnold Godbeer on, William Finn, Jonathan
Price, and Harry Trick off. Brixington start very strong but West Hill are hot
on there heels. Both team having to work really hard to keep the ball from each
other. Brixingtons passing brilliantly and the ball keeps getting to Arnold
Godbeer up front who took some shots on goal but West Hills goalie was always on
the ball and saved it each time and West Hill defence were like a brick wall,
very hard to penetrate. West Hill take a corner and the ball finds its way into
the goal after rebounding off a Brixington player giving them the
equalizing goal they wanted 2-2. Callum Mcclure off, William Finn on, Callum
Mcphee saves a great goal by punching the ball over the net, West Hill are
determined this half and really make Brixington work, William Finn consistently
working hard to win the ball but neither team are able to get a chance and the
game ends with a draw 2-2. Great work from both team made this a great match to
watch.
